SPECIAL GUEST SPEAKER: Charles Smith, Branch Chief, Fairfax County Department of Public Works and Environmental Services Stormwater Planning Division, Watershed Projects Implementation Branch. He will discuss Lake Accotink dredging, the Flag Run stream restoration, the Long Branch Central Watershed Management Area restoration, and other projects in the Accotink watershed.

We will not be meeting in November, and our next meeting will be January 8. As is our tradition in December, we hope everyone will attend Supervisor Cook's Taste of Braddock:

July 10, 2019, Best of Braddock Awards and BDC Picnic

On Wednesday, July 10, the Braddock District Council will be hosting their annual Best of Braddock Awards and Braddock District Council Picnic. 

Each year, the BDC and the Braddock District Supervisor’s office join efforts in recognizing those in the Braddock District who contribute to making our community a better place to live and work, while also sharing a meal provided by the BDC. The event takes place at the Braddock District Supervisor’s office, 9002 Burke Lake Road. The picnic is from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. and the recognition ceremony begins at 7:00 p.m.

Virginia General Assembly Legislative Forum

Collectively Braddock District's 120,000+ residents are represented in Richmond by three State Senators and five Delegates. This is your opportunity to interact directly with our elected officials, ask questions and express concerns, like the interesting General Assembly session that just occurred in Richmond. This is also an opportunity to ask about the state of our potholes in Braddock.

Confirmed: Senators Dick Saslaw and David Marsden and Delegates Eileen Filler-Corn, David Bulova, and Kathy Tran (will have a representative)
